I'm not affected by these changes as I didn't use them to begin with, but for example if Korg ever decides to drop the import midi files with Marker feature, that would definitely be considered a "fatal" mistake for me because I use it ALL THE TIME!

So in that sense, you could be using these keyboards every day for the rest of your life and never depend on certain features. You don't miss something you never used, right? But if you did use them, then it would feel like a punch in the face. I've had my own share of experiences like this (unrelated to Korg) but still I can relate. In fact I just had a similar experience with the latest version of Melodyne last night. It sucks when they drop your favorite stuff!

It would be enough to restore "Style preferences" lock

The same thing regards to "Vocal Processor Preset" lock which gave you the opportunity to use for example 2 different vocal presets within the same songbook record by using STS.

Above parameters should not definitely be global one.

I waited patiently the latest Pa4X OS update but as I can see Pa4X OS developers are not willing to bring those missing
important PaSeries features back since their extra priority (except bugs) was only to encrypt their PKG resources ...
and totally ignored our requests , that are also for their benifit !

Therefore IMO , Pa3X Pro users that have a custom SET where all style and sound resources are based on custom PCM
samples have absolutely no reason to ugrade to Pa4X (risky I could say) and loose those important PaSeries indivindual
STS function properties that will reverse their whole performance manipulation that is based on them, like me when missing
features like Velocity to Fill per STS & Fingered mode per STS , will downgrade and ruin my performance in a Pa4X !

Hi ,
obviously you guys didn't realise these features had been dropped?
One couldn't be expected to go thru a manual with a fine tooth comb, looking to see if some feature or other, had been dropped. For instance if I buy one, I'd have to order it sight unseen , and hope it is as good as everyone says it is.

Wouldn't it be great if when they list all the great new features , they also listed features that they had dropped, just in case it did affect certain users.

Still haven't fully worked out the features you're talking about, so obviously I musn't used them ( I 've had an 18month break from my keyboards) and slowly getting back into them.

I 'd be really disappointed too if they dropped something I depended on.
best wishes

Well, for one thing the advanced manual wasn't really published till much later. Korg did NOT supply any specific information about discontinued features. They could've made this a little more clear. I did not miss any of them as I wasn't using them to begin with...but it could be a painful experience if you depended on them.

I guess for the Pa5x buyers, there is a lesson to be learned from this indeed!

Hi Sam,
I would have been guided by you. If there'd been a pa3x style editing / creation function missing, no doubt, you would have been jumping up and down by now. Since that's not the case, the only hurdle in my way, is my husband. Still haven't been able to convince him I NEED !!! one. Haha
best wishes

LOL! I'm no husband, but from what I hear they're hardly considered a hurdle these days! Just go and pick it up...

Yeah but the upside is you would have a PA4x
Negativity is a disease of the brain. Positivity is owning a PA4X
