Hi,
This is currently my setup:
- Korg Kronos (obviously)
- Access Virus desktop connected using a traditional MIDI cable (Kronos MIDI OUT -> Virus MIDI IN)
- Roland AX keytar connected over wireless MIDI
I can play sounds on the Virus in Combination-mode when I configure a part on channel 2 and set it to EXT or EXT2.
Now I'd like to layer sounds from both the Kronos and the Virus and play on my keytar. I can only play the internal Kronos sounds using the keytar. Is there a way to forward the MIDI notes coming from the keytar to channel 2 of the Virus ?
I've been fiddling with karma (it has a Thru function) but no luck so far...

Nope, it won't work without additional hardware. The Kronos doesn't support it. I get around it by using an iConnectMIDI4+ in my rack - you could also do the same thing with a MIDI Thru box.
