Can't remember where this piece goes...

Post by Epsilon Process »

Hi all,

I've had my Oasys 76 in pieces for several months as I was waiting on a new power supply. I also did some upgrades, added an SSD, more memory and faster CPU. So when it came time to putting it all back together, I looked at all the photos I took but can't find where this little strip of metal goes.

It looks like it's supposed to retain something or clip something down by the looks of the little hooked end, but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone with experience working inside the Oasys knows where it's supposed to go?

Thanks.

Hi,
I think it is probably this.

Scroll down to section 3. then 11th image down.
(on the corner of the HD mounting plate)

I remember when I replaced my HD with a SSD

Ahh thank you! Someone else PM'd that doc as well.

As I was putting everything together, I discovered one more small clip, which I think went inside the rear connector "box" to cover some unused ports...but not 100% sure.

Could you identify this one also?

Thanks again!

Yeah, that's the metal clip that goes at the back of the motherboard, for closing the Ethernet port.
