As much as I like all the new features found in the Kronos 2, one thing I miss from the 1 and X is the font used at the back. Personally, I find it more stylish.
I guess that changing the font is a way of saying v2 without having to say so. Still... the visual cue is not as nice in my opinion.

Ah nostalgia... At first I thought the same thing. However, after a while, the new font has grown on me and now I actually like it better. It is bolder and to me it makes a stronger statement when you see a Kronos on stage (or in a studio). That is what I think Korg was attempting to do -- make a bolder looking product. This may have also been the reason for the slight change in the Korg logo (the G's serifs were sliced off), the wood end caps, and the mesh top.
I've also noticed that this bolder font seems to be used on the Korg website and perhaps on other newer Korg products.
The very first time I saw the image of the new Kronos on KORG's website, I did not like it at all. I was so used to the cool typeface and all-black exterior of the K1 and X, I thought the wood panels looked terribly out of place. I remember my first Kronos in 2012, the smooth surface reminded me of the M1. I was all set to order a Kronos X 61 from zZounds, and was not going to budge from my decision.
After a month or so of staring at it, doing research, reading forums, watching videos, weighing the options, I decided to buy the new 61-key, and I am so happy I did. It's a beautiful machine 'in the flesh', the wood panels give it a solid well-built feel to it. I am even fine with the large, bold white logo on the back, in fact it's very attractive now. The gold plated audio jacks add to the aesthetics, and the mesh grill is really nice looking. I do not regret going with the new model at all, I love this synth.
My only 'visual wish' would be for a nicer-looking jog wheel, maybe metal, or a chrome dial, something that makes it visually 'pop' a little. But that's a VERY minor gripe, believe me.
