Kronos X Combi

Post by EQula »

Hello Every one,
I'm trying to assign wave or ( Pre-recorded SEQ) phrase or to one key in the Combi mode and used with other timbers as needed,
Jordan Rudess was using this Technic with his Kurzwell, Trigger & release using two keys like ON & OFF
is it Possible with Kronos ?

Thanks

You can load the the wav in sampling mode and convert it into a program. You then use the program as part of a combi.

Indeed, and after that you can use the HOLD ON/OFF function assigned to one of the knobs (I use knob 1 always for that) to stop the sample, if you have e.g a looping sample. Pressing the assigned key will indeed start the program. Save the Combi with the Program at HOLD ON, and Knobx assigned to HOLD ON/OFF and you have what you want

Hi AdDeRoo,

Could you lighted me a little more on this trick :)
I understood for the Sample to Program. I understood the Checkbox Hold in the Program mode.
I understood to put the Program into a combination.

But I'd like more information on the Knob 1 assignment.

Where do you assign Knob x ? Into Program Mode or Combination ? Do you use external surface control ?
Hold On/Off function ? Do you mean Damper/Sustain MIDI CC#64 ?

Many thanks.
