You have the DVD drive sitting right on top of some of the buttons on the keyboard. How do you know it is not depressing some buttons and that is preventing it to install properly. That's just a guess on my part. Try loading again with drive not sitting on the keyboard or at least in a place where it is not contacting any buttons. Good luck.

Is there a way i can format everything? I tried the first option with the recovery.lonelagranger wrote:I am glad you got it up and running. I am not sure about the authorization code. I am thinking you only need that if you total format the SSD. That is just a guess on my part. Have fun making music.

It may be useful to look at the step by step guides in more detail as described in the Parameter Guide and Operating Manual….if like me,it does take a while to understand and follow initially, but will make better sense eventually
.
Parameter Guide Page 1135 onward and Operation Manual Page 263.
The authorization code will only be needed following an ssd format and will necessitate subsequent updates etc.
This is considered to be a drastic thing to do and it's advised to try other methods first.
Why do you think there's a need to re-format ?
Or are you just trying to re-install ?
Best Wishes.

The main problem is with the keys of my keyboard and wierd noises, it all started with random notes playing by itself and then the lost of sound on some keys and sometimes the keys with no touch response.pedro5 wrote:

After the 3.0.2 update, the problem with the random notes was reduced but the keys started to come back to life and all of them worked fine and all of them worked with touch response. Then the nightmare, after a week or so of peace it started to become unusable, the sounds started to trigger and the keyboard suddenly started to show me errors and i had to restart the keyboard, it became really slow, that's why i wanted to try with the full format and restore. (The problem with the keys goes away when i set the local to Off on global mode and i can play with a MIDI, but it continued to show me the problem with the sounds and i still had to restart)
You can see the main problem here:

That sounds like the Karma module is transmitting data. Was the Karma turned off in your video. If it was, maybe a mouse. Just kidding. Although I know this is not funny for you. It is strange if the Karma module is not doing it. It is even strange if the Karma module is doing it. Have you opened it up and tried reseating the ram and disconnecting and reconnecting the cables. Something strange is definitely going on. If the software reinstall didn't fix it, the only thing left is the hardware. Are you still under warranty. If not, open it up and trying reseating the cables and ram.
The warranty expired almost a year ago, and the best part is that i live in Costa Rica haha, we don't have a full support for Korg and the one that we have sucks. I will open it up and check if the RAM is well placed, wich cables or else do you recommend (or what do you mean with reseting the cables?)lonelagranger wrote:That sounds like the Karma module is transmitting data. By the way thank you for your help

This sounds like a hardware problem. If you have local off and it works normally with MIDI, the software should be fine. I would suspect the keyboard (anything spill in it?) or the circuit that scans the keyboard. KLM-3006 D-jack board or loose cable...

It's wierd because it works sometimes with no problems. May i know wich cables do i have to check? or wich board?geoelectro wrote:This sounds like a hardware problem. Just a quick reply....
It does suggest a hardware related problem and could be something loose or
disconnected inside.
Time to have a look.....
Do observe the usual precautions as per computer/electronic workings.
Follow what's already been suggested......ram seating /cables etc.
Just make sure that they're fully in their sockets or mating parts.
I would check them all...
Good Luck.
