Hi, i have a previous post were i show that the keys of my kronos trigger the sound by themselfs, while i get the replacement parts i would like to disable the keys of the kronos, is there a way? I can open it up and disconnect something? Or a setting that i can use? I Will be using a midi Keyboard trough USB.

Re: Disable the keys of my kronos
You could go into the Global Midi settings and set Local=Off.andalve wrote:Hi, i have a previous post were i show that the keys of my kronos trigger the sound by themselfs, while i get the replacement parts i would like to disable the keys of the kronos, is there a way? The problem is only on the Keyboard and that disables everything on the kronos (all the controllers)jeebustrain wrote:

I think that should keep the control surface working. At least part level control and tone adjust, not sure about pitch bend and such but perhaps you could use those on the external synth?
So, setting up the main keyboard on just one channel on combi and just mute it, then the rest of the channels use the external MIDI keyboard?
I am a noob programming this keyboard, if you know how to set that up and you are willing to share it here i will hug the computer and thank you a lot!

Just set it to channel sixteen in global mode and make sure none of the timbres in your combi are using that (or mute them). Also make sure to check the KARMA module page of your combi, by default the midi from the global midi channel is rerouted to channel one.
I don't have a step by step, sorry. I'm not at my Kronos and won't be for a week or so.

Unfortunately that didn't worked, the main keyboard of the kronos still triggers sounds by itself ( my main post of the issue is here: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... highlight= )
So the question remains, i need to disable the keys of kronos, use only the external midi keyboard and continue using the controls of the kronos (pitch bend, VJS, Ribbon, controllers, faders, etc)
If it's not possible it's fine, i think i am asking to much, but this beast of keyboard has shown me a lot of thigs haha.
