Sequencer/Song auto-start possible ?

Post by philbuck »

Hi, I'm new to sequencing and the M50, so bear with me. Searched the manual (ha!), and the net, and this forum but can't find any clue as to whether I can actually do what I want to do !

I've managed at last to create a song on the sequencer, and wish to play live alongside it. Is it possible to start the song by any other way than pressing the Start/Stop sequencer button, ie by maybe assigning a keyboard key?

Here's hoping

(Failing that, I'm sure it will have to be the annoying 4 count to precede the song)
Cheers

Hmmm..........I'm thinking it's either not possible, or I'm all alone in this big bad world !!

The sequencer can be started/stopped with a foot switch. Other external controllers that can transmit midi start/stop messages should also work.

Thankyou so much for that. I'll look into it. My other attempts involved using the RPPR but although that offers the ability to create the various layers I require, I don't think you get all the benefits of the sequencer, ie quantisation, etc. But I may be wrong !
