External control

Post by brokengem »

Is there any way to use any type of external control? I've heard of things like the Korg Nanokontrol for different days. Is there any way to use something like this for the M50?

You can connect an external controller with MIDI DIN.

Usb controllers can't be connected directly to the M50 but you should be able to route it through a DAW on a PC.

What kind of controller would work? I'm not going to be using any saw. Is really like to be able to control patch volumes from an external source.

A Korg EXP-2 foot controller or XVP- 10 expression/volume pedal would work nicely for volume control. It can be connected directly to the pedal jack.

More so I'm looking to control individual patches. Setting up a combo with various sounds and being able to fade in and out those sounds from an external controller. More than just the overall volume.

Don't know of an external controller but maybe the on screen mixer page would be helpful.

Yeah it's just kind of hard to work with on the fly.
