great track, i'm always amazed when i hear your songs about the space in the mix and the reverb quality. There's so much going on and the detail of every sound is still great.

good work :)

Thanks,

Parga, a small fishing / tourist town on the west of Greece.

Beautiful place and peaceful people.

Monaco is a bit (a lot) out of my budget. :D

Bono said that U2 started with "three chords and the truth", and that was all they needed, but now maybe two chords are enough...seriously, though, while the synth textures are good, there needs to be more harmonic and melodic movement to keep my interest, even in a "laid back" thing like this (and maybe more rhythmic variation, too, for that matter - those drums sure aren't adding much)...but hey, I'm just an old guy...

Thanks for commenting and your opinion.

It sort of points out the beauty of song writing. We all have our preference.

There are four chords a 13th, minor ninth, and two minor 7ths that have a basic theme and feel that has subtle changes and textures.
A lot of chill out type songs keep a basic rhythm that basically stays constant as does the bass. The colours come from the type of sounds used and the layering of those sounds. My songs sound like they do because that is how I want them to sound. It's not written to show off, just enjoyment and share on a brilliant Korg forum.

My dad is a jazz musician and I played jazz for two decades, frankly I now like music which allows my mind to wander but that's just me. The Kronos allows me to write the music genre that I love.

Anyway, I hope you carry on enjoying your music.

I have exactly the same thoughts about this. When I was looking for a synth, I have seen many, but the Kronos basically gave me the right tools to make the music I want.

@dfahrner
Sometimes less can be more, in the sense that you keep certain things basic, to be able to really perceive the atmospheric movements.

@runningman:
Though I don't play that style myself, I really enjoyed your tune, and as Qui said: it's great how you you leave air to breathe in the mix, create room and movement. I really would like to learn from some of your reverb/delay combinations.

Thanks for sharing your song!
