Hi nitecrawler, don't even try it, will lock probably your keyboard up. As always stated at Korg, do not mix resources from different models...

Being the experimenter that I am(Perhaps rather foolishly as I should know better), I did load in the set and behold, it locked up the Le. Had to reinstall the OS... Let that be a lesson to me!

Thanks Keith. I think I will wait until the pa resources areas catch up by taking note of the Pa3Xle; so that we will know where exactly it fits in the compatibility charts.

There has been some discussion here on what exactly our Pa3Xle is. A pa900 with 76 keys or a paired down Pa3X. I had assumed the latter but I think I will wait for Korg to be more forth coming before investing time money and energy in additional styles. Got 2 gigs soon so enough on my plate right now.

The specs and details about the PA3XLe are already up at Korg: http://www.korg.com/us/products/synthesizers/pa3x_le/

Shouldn't be that hard to figure out how the models compare given that, should it?

And the full manual is here... http://i.korg.com/SupportPage.aspx?productid=712

Yup, been there read that. You are missing the point. That being, what is it compatible with in terms of style loading, etc. I haven't even much on that and that is the issue being discussed. Any clarity there?

Thanks Rick. Just got response back from Korg support that stated the Pa3Xle is compatible with any Korg style. This is good news. I must have missed when I read. Appreciate the response.

I should clarify that I asked specifically about styles at Korgpa. There is always the possibility that "independent" styles could present an issue.

Does the Le have the ability to use all the Guitar Modes the PA3X has in style mode? Does it have the same number of effects and insert effects to put on styles the PA3X does? Or DNC voices in styles?

That's the sort of thing that, although the styles might be compatible, they may not sound exactly the same...

I honestly don't know for sure. Still trying to get my head around the board. To my ears the acoustic dnc has slaps, slides, notes off, string noise etc. My assumption is that it will have some limits vs the pa3x. I have not had the time to compare all the specs. Been woodsheding for a gig on Saturday. It will be the first time on stage with the LE.

The PA3X and PA3XLE both have Guitar Mode 2

See the PA3XLE User manual here ...
