Hi Salman

Yes you can

BUT must be done as a new sound under sound mode where you specify Key Zones etc for the different instruments you require.

Thanx

No, that is not necessary.

Look to your manual Keyboard/Ensemble:
This page lets you program a key and dynamic (velocity) range for each of the Keyboard tracks.
Key range is useful to create a set of Keyboard tracks playing in different zones of the keyboard. For example, you may have French Horns and Woodwinds playing in the center range of the keyboard, while only Woodwinds play on the higher range.

The parameter pair Top/Bottom Key (Key Range) sets the Top and Bottom key range for the tracks (selected keys C-1…G9 )
kind regards

Agreed, siebenhirter, so that would permit the keyboard to be divided into 4 zones: 3 for the UPPERs and one for the LOWER, which is why some of us like to use an 88 key master keyboard or an additional MIDI controller so that a larger range is possible for each of those 4 keyboard zone/ranges.

The manual only explains the general split point for the auto accompaniment!

Thank you

To be precise, this is in the STYLE mode, not the SOUND mode, which does not offer more than one sound at a time.

In STYLE mode you do not have to actually use the automatic accompaniment capability fully. You can play only the LOWER and UPPER sounds (page 45 User Manual v 110) and do all the things regarding zones etc. and there will not be any drums, bass or accompaniment sounds unless you allow them. Page 137 details how the Bass & Lower Backing setting will add BASS sound of the root of the chord played on the LOWER track. Check this out so this BASS doesn't sound when you don't want it! :D
PAGE 137 of User Manual
Bass & Lower Backing

With this function, you can play a simple accompaniment with
your left hand. For this to work, the SPLIT LED must be turned
on, and the Style must not be running. By default, this function
is turned on.

On

When the Style is not running, and you play a
chord with your left hand, the chord is played by
the Lower Sound (even if it is muted), while the
chord root is played by the Bass Sound. When
you start the Style, the normal behavior is
restored.
When the Bass & Lower Backing
function is active, the Backing
icon appears in the Lower track Sound’s area.

Off

No Bass Sound is added when the Style is not
running. The Lower track can be heard only if it
is not muted.
Many different PA3X feature combinations will expand user options, such as:

1. ... PADs can be used to add, for example, an arpeggiated guitar, with tempo adjustable on the touch screen or wheel.
2. ... Drum and percussion tracks can be used like a drum machine.
3. ... ENSEMBLE can be used to enhance your right hand sounds such as making a duet of two types of saxophone on a partial zone of the UPPER split.
4. ... etc. etc.

The STYLE mode is not only a single-finger chord magic machine. Skilled users here have a wide range of uses that require musical knowledge and a new kind of dexterity. :D
You probably have this already figured out.
