New Model

Post by derek bradburn »

hello,
I'm thinking of changing my PA3x but don't want to get caught out with the PA4x coming out a few weeks after I've changed mine.
I know every new keyboard is kept quiet until l the very last minute but has anyone any idea when the new one might be expected. I appreciate it is normally about every 3 years or so.
Thanks,
derek B.

Derek, where have you been? We ALL have the PA4X now. It is fantastic.
Actually, I hope it comes soon, while I'm still alive and semi-interested.

Heh! That's better than being semi-alive and fully interested.

Seriously Don, I hope your recent health issues are well behind you now.

Drs. say I'm doing fine. Sometimes I don't FEEL fine though. :)
I'm starting to go back to work some. I have booked about six jobs for October to see how I hold up "under fire". I only have booked two Christmas parties so far, because i want to see how I'm feeling as it gets a little closer.
Thanks for inquiring!

I'd say about every 4 to 6 years....Typically, some guy from Turkey or one of those Balkan countries shows up with some pictures of a new model...That's when you know something's cooking. If you don't see a Turkish dude with some new keyboard pictures, then you know all is calm...for now.

This is a proven fact by the way!

But even then, it takes over a year for the keyboard to actually hit the stores in the US. Then, it's another 6 months or so for Korg to take care of some major OS bugs....etc

So does that mean that arranger manufacturers shouldn't trust the Turkish? LOL
