Recording Ivory pianos using the Krome

Post by fede92 »

Hi everyone!! Here is the thing: I'm gonna make some videos of me playing the piano and put them in youtube. For that purpose I would like to run the Ivory standalone program and play one of the incredible pianos this program has connecting the Krome to my computer. Is this possible??

Thanks!!

I'm not familiar with the Ivory piano. But if it is a VST, you can use it with a suitable DAW, and use your Korg Krome as a MIDI controller by connecting it via USB.

Remember, the Krome only supports MIDI through USB, and NOT audio.

This should suit you fine, since you want to play a VST and not the Krome sound banks.

In short yes, it can be done if this Ivory piano is a VST :)

Ivory doesn't need to run in a DAW, it has a standalone version too, although you won't be able to record with it.

You'll need a decent audio interface for low latency playback qnd preferably a fast hard drive or SSD for the sample base.
