PaSeries can import 24B/48Khz samples but all will be converted to 16 bit , since their DAC is working at 16 Bit.
Now overriding internal DAC using digital output and a high-end DAC like Apogee (I use) , the difference is significant
because of apogee's better analog filter designing (at same 16 bit sample sources).
At the other hand Pa3X's internal DAC & filters are very close to a such an external device . with a DAc that seems to be
superior even from Kronos X !

Thank you for answer,I knew it you did it with an Apogee (from my previous topic) but I was curious if somebody else used other cheaper D\A converter with good results.The Apogee is to expensive and doesn't worth for me.
Im still trying to do something with the dull sound but no big success until know.Maybe a dac filter mod but I don't have the pa2 schematic.
Anyway if somebody has any idea how we can get a better sound from PA2x feel free to post.
