What is the world coming to when the best Europe can come up with is a bearded lady.

What's next? Siamese twins?!

Several years ago, the singer Andrea Bocelli, who is visually impaired, won the most famous italian Festival di Sanremo, more for the emotion caused by his unfortunate condition than for his musical skills

My son, who was then 6 years old, with the candid innocence of a kid, told me: dad, next year they will make a dumb singer to win the festival?

I was surprised and pleased that "we" came in second. Eurovision has had a terrible image in The Netherlands for years. Only last year, when one of our most popular singers decided to go, did it gain back any legitimacy. Which led to this year's contribution. I'm glad we're at least bringing actual songs again instead of just some crappy beat with a lot of lighting effects.

A man with a beard dressed as a woman. Is there really people in Europe have such poor taste. In 2015, the artist should come dressed as a refrigerator or a toaster, maybe he could win.

The song sung by Conchita was weak, can not even remember the melody. Everyone can remember a beard.

Oh rumored new sponsor was Gillette Conchita :) :) :)

The Netherlands had the best song.

I am very disgusted with the song of Polish, in Poland we have many great singers of the young generation and chose someone so weak and boring song. The only thing I liked was our best export commodity beautiful woman :)

Yes, Poland had some beautiful chicks on stage. Piotrek, do you know their names?

Otherwise, boring this year.

If the Austrian song would not have been rpomoted as a song for freedom and liberty .... And anti Russian politics...

Then the Dutch song would have won... In my humble opinion, it was by far the most orriginal and fresh composition and performance... The bassline gives my goosebumps..

The song from the Netherlands was by far superior to anything else on the night IMHO.

Hmm Sharp....Disingenuous not to expect such a post to disintegrate into prejudice.

Bearded ladies may not be my thing (are they anyone's?) but it was as good a vocal performance as any of the other entries.

Eurovision has its fair share of gimmicks, but at a time when Russia is threatening the safety not just the liberty of gay people, it was perhaps in a way European people making a point about repression and regime change.

The intolerance of some of the above comments shows that music alone is sadly is not enough to bring people together.

But then we knew that anyway.

I don't appreciate that comment at all as my intentions are the same as always. I started this thread because it's tradition and it's Eurovision time again. Every single year someone starts a Eurovision thread. It's always been this way.

Sorry, but I have to clear the air on that.

For me personally, I don't care if a bearded lady is singing. Couldn't care less about any colour, sexual preference, weather you have 3 arms or two heads. In life so long as a person has a good soul that's all that matters to me.

Regards
Sharp.
