How to load .mid file into M50

I have a .mid file on my MacBook Pro that I'd like to load into the M50.

My first thought was to IMPORT the file into the M50 Editor and then load the .mid file into M50 via USB, but the editor does not recognize .mid files.

What is the proper procedure to loading .mid files into M50?
