Oasys clock battery warning!

Post by gorkymate »

Guys,

When I'm powering on my ''O'' Aafter booting on screen is written: ''the clock battery is low. Please replace the battery and set the date and time in Disk Mode''
So, is this just regular 3V battery or what?!
Did anybody else change?

I believe that is for the watch battery on the motherboard.

It's very easy to exchange the calendar battery. Details about exchanging the standard battery (CR2032‐type) with figures, on page 1090-1094 of the Parameter Guide:

Mine's had it for about 6 months - just working up the nerve to move the whole thing out of its resting place and pop the hood!

I think its an easy "fix".
I just never use my Oasys, haven't touched it for months and months.
Just laying there with a cloth over it, filling space.
Sure was a wise investment :)

A useless tip for those that may not know.
If you put #page=number on the end of a link to a PDF file, it will open on that page.

So for example, the page for replacing the battery is his.

Sharp.

You serious?
Your wife just sold it?
How much did she get for it?

Hi,

my O is also sending the message now; although I´m not very technically gifted it seems to be easy enough to do this "surgery" on my own ;). Thanks for the link.

best regards

Finally bought the CR2032 battery and changed it.
Real easy, just 4x screws and viola.
Takes less than 5 minutes.
Now that annoying message is gone :)
