Hey guys,
Does anyone know if OASYS stores the sounds it has on boot-up in memory or reads it from some preload.pcg or something like this? A couple of days ago I worked for hours on my sounds and recorded them in memory, but failed to go to disk mode and save them to the built-in hard drive. Having in mind that my OASYS is not working now, I might have to get sounds from it and if it doesn't load it from hard drive on boot up, I'm kind of sc***ed - that would mean that a lot of hours of sound design are out the window...

Re: OASYS sound loading on boot up
Unless you saved your PCG or SAVE ALL file to disk, I believe boot up items (drum patterns, song templates, the current program set, etc.) are part of an OS memory cache. If you get your OASYS fixed, your programs should be there.
On that note, back up everything; even the disk is going to die and need replacing, at some point.

Yeah, I know, but I definitely lost 3-4 hours of work if I don't repair it considering the fact that I didn't go to disk mode and save. Precisely why I'm asking if OASYS has some kind of memory that stores this or is this stored in a file (this would also make sense). Does anyone have any idea?
