CX3 organs - new user

Post by chrisfp99 »

OK so I've had the Kronos 61 for 24 hours (brilliant deal from GAK Brighton).

I've had a quick search round these forums but haven't read the manuals from cover to cover yet (I know ...).

But I wondered if you guys could give me a quick yes/no on the following organ questions:

1/ I know it's not authentic but I'd really like velocity sensitivity on the CX3 organs. Will I be able to find a way of doing this?

2/ Can I get the leslie slow/fast (currently on the joystick) on aftertouch?

Otherwise I might prefer to use the HD-1 organs (which are pretty good to my ear).

Thanks for any help.

Chris, you've had the Kronos for just 24 hours and you haven't read the manuals cover-to-cover yet? Shameful. Utterly shameful. What's the world coming to? :P

It might be possible to get some velocity sensitivity by assigning either the Velocity or the Exponential Velocity AMS to the Main Output > Output Level parameter on the CX3's AMP V/C tab. Check out pages 239 through 240 of the Parameter guide.

For the rotary speaker, set Aftertouch as the AMS source (AMS Mode to Toggle) to the Speed SW setting on the Rotary Speaker tab. Parameter guide page 241.
