Kronos Sequencer Freezes how to downgrade

Post by Felix50 »

Hallo everybody,

since i have the new System 2.1.0, i have two problemes
1) The Sequencer Freezes
2) When i try to save a song ( Save All ) with wave sounds imported into the
Sequencer , it says " Unable to save Files "

Is there a possibility to downgrade to 2.06 Because
Never change a running System

Thanks a lot

Yes. Simply install 2.06 like the normal update procedure. Did it last week, no problems...
Kronos88, Kronos 2/61, Dave Smith Pro-2, Minimoog Voyager, MacBook Pro, LogicProX - and a whole bunch of older stuff...

I'm sorry that you're encountering difficulties. If you can provide a little more information, it would be helpful to us in finding out what's happening.
1. What does "freeze" mean in this context? Does the instrument stop making sound? Is an unwanted sound heard? Does the UI stop responding? Can you still play sounds on the keyboard?
2. If you can send an example of a sequencer file that causes the problem, please do so using my email address below.

Re "Unable to Save File" - the Operation Guide includes a list of all error messages, their causes, and the steps you can take to solve them. This error message indicates that the file path is too long:

"Rename the file and/or directories so that the file path fits within 76 characters. This includes the file name and the names of all parent directories up to the root level of the disk."

Note that when saving songs, this will include the automatically-created audio files and their enclosing directories.

Put simply: try using a short name for the song file. If you are saving it into an enclosing folder, use a short name for the folder, and move that folder to the root level of the disk.

Hope this helps,

Dan
