Bank a and C not storing loops.

I had this happen yesterday, messed around with it, fixed it but dont know how. Now it happens again today. This is 1 week old. Every time I boot it, only banks b and d will record loops. The other 2 work as they should. The banks a and d light up red and the beat counter shows but the loop wont play after I let go of the button. what gives>? bought this used. is it broken?

fixed it. the levels on a and c start on low. I have to adjust it every boot. Can I fix this in the software? my new mac air wont recognize the unit!

Are you using samples loaded from sd-card? because volume level informations are stored within the loop i guess.
if not try a factory reset.
