Oh, they are just doing a play on words. If you look at the LCD shot they do- Back is actually BK. Just another backing keyboard (yet they just released one). Honestly, if it was a killer keyboard- they have done a way better teaser then that. Their marketing likes taking gear photos, cutting them up, then doing fuzzy pan shots to make it all oh so mysterious.
If they would just say something like- GOODBYE FANTOM, HELLO....
Now that would get people excited

There is also a slider image which reminds me of the MC line of groovebox. A new one with some analog parts suits better with the tittle.

Does anybody know regarding Roland's previous count down clocks whether this implies something big is coming?
I don't think they had a countdown clock for Jan NAMM 2013...they just had the NAMM date.
Anyway, if it's a workstation and it doesn't outshine the Kronos I don't believe they will do well.

If it's a workstation version of Integra-7 with all expansions available for being used simultaneously, plus the D-50 engine, decent user interface and some other innovative features, within a similiar price range..I think they might have some enthusiast market.billysynth1 wrote:Anyway, if it's a workstation and it doesn't outshine the Kronos I don't believe they will do well.
watching their Sonar video using the multi touch display as well as the multi dock capability of Sonar, for being used with multi monitors setup:

I'm interested to see if their new workstation is supporting one or two external multi touch displays, featuring the matrix functionality of Sonar, with an integrated monitor stand provided. Their instruments are used to be supported for being used with an external display or mouse, now it supposed to be an exciting time for that.

That is Roland BK-9 (probably with 76 keys).
If they add USB audio and normal midi sequencer and backing sequencer and mic input with fantom power -> that will be serious competitor for PA3X. Will see.

If it's real, I'm sure it will sound great, but the dual screen is a total gimmick.
There is absolutely no advantage in having two small screens mounted in the same location vs one larger screen mounted in the same location.
It's only a gimmick to me to see a design like that.
I call Photoshop on this one.

Sharp.
