CX3 Engine Questions (realtime drawbar control + bass pedal)

Post by mymusic42 »

Currently I use a program with the CX3 engine and the keyboard is split between and upper and lower manuals.

If I want to play two manuals and bass pedals, I couldn't do that with a program because a) the cx3 only supports 2 sets of drawbars and b) it only transmits on 1 midi channel. Is that correct?

Assuming so, then if I want to be able to play midi bass pedals with my kronos as the sound source, i'm assuming i would make a combi with 1 CX3 assigned to the keyboard channel and another assigned to the midi channel used by the pedals.

If I am in combi mode can i still visually see the drawbar settings of the individual patches?

In my program I have the sliders set to the upper drawbars and the knobs set to control the lower drawbars. Can I still have this in combi mode?

If I wanted my lower manual to be controlled by another keyboard (on another channel), would I still be able to use the knobs to control the lower drawbars?

I'm also trying to see if the DB1 drawbars will help me, but so far based on the vendor's description, I am not sure that it will.

My ultimate goal is to be able to control three organ sound sources (upper, lower, and bass drawbars) in realtime. I'm not worried about FX, because I am running the combined sound out through a Neo Ventillator.

Any advice or insight is appreciated. Thanks
