am I really going to go thru the trouble of selling of may kaoss kit to get the one that says "+" on it...seriously.

How ever this part from the Korg site looks interesting:

Plays nicely together with Kaossilator 2
Data you recorded on the Kaossilator Pro+ can be exported for use with the kaossilator 2, and data recorded on the kaossilator 2 can be loaded by the Kaossilator Pro+, sharing the BPM and other settings. The possibilities are endless; sophisticated performance data from the Kaossilator Pro+ can be loaded into the kaossilator 2 and taken with you, or kaossilator 2 performance data you recorded elsewhere can be brought back for use on the Kaossilator Pro+.

* Interoperability will be enabled by a system update for the kaossilator 2. The system update is expected to be available in January 2013.

So you noobie guys that bought into the Kaossilator 2 instead of the Pro may have something to look forward to after all...I guess

It took me a year to determine that the ipad could replace most of my hardware devices, but for a quick second I thought I might have to buy another piece of hardware - and I surely would have if at least a few of our concerns had been addressed. But no, just a facelift and some dubstep presets. Never mind.

I just sent Korg and Rich a letter, so we will see what happens. I suhhested that at least Korg could do for us KO Pro users is give us th update we have always wanted: control the KO Pro via midi note like using the Pro like a sound module and give us a way to get the old kaossilator 1 custom arp settings and a way to save out own. These seem to be the single most requested updates the fandom has asked for, custom arps and use the pro as a sound module.

Really that would make the "+" pain not hurt as much.

The biggest gripe I have is that in one fell swoop the second hand price of my original Pro is now zero !!

Am I really going to buy a new Pro+ just for the updated sounds ?

I guess if I want to run two Pro's together it could be an option ?!?!

The very least Korg could do is offer some kind of firmware upgrade for existing Pro owners to at least update the sound patches.

I'd even contemplate paying a few quid for the upgrade !!
