I know this is a very tiny detail, but I am puzzled.
A friend and I both bought PA3X 76 key units at the same time.
Mine has a serial ending 5xxx and his 6xxx
Both work perfectly except for one difference. On his one, when he switches on the PA3X, if the screen is folded down flat, it rises up on its own to the last set level.
But on mine, the screen never moves on its own. The motor works and I can make the screen go up and down without any problem. But if I use the "unlock" button to fold the screen down, the only way it comes back up again is if I manually press the screen up/down button.
Weird! I don't know if Korg changed the functionality in later units....
Two PA3X 76 key - one automatically raises screen, not other

sorry i dont have pa3x nor pa2x but as far as i know this doesnt mean that there is anything wrong with your keyboard or there is any difference between the two. The thing is : If you turn off the keyboard and then turn down the display manually by the unlock button, the next time you turn on the pa3x , the display will come up automatically.

MUSCI AND THATS ALL...........!!!!
Yeah thats what I am saying. If I turn down display manually on both keyboards with unlock button, the next time I turn on, one comes up and the other one doesn't!! Even if its a fault, certainly not worth doing anything about it!!Shahin wrote:sorry i dont have pa3x nor pa2x but as far as i know this doesnt mean that there is anything wrong with your keyboard or there is any difference between the two. Here's what you do:-
Power PA3X ON
Raise screen with motor to desired position.
Play etc...
Do not lower the screen with motor "LIFT" button.
Before (or after) you power off, LOWER the screen manually with the UNLOCK button (NOT using "LIFT" motor button)
Next time you power on the screen will raise to last position.
So in summary:-
First time, raise screen with LIFT button to desired position.
Thereafter always use "UNLOCK" button and manually lower the screen.
Each power on thereafter will raise screen to last position.
Cheers

Do as Pete said and remember
The last automatic (not manual) screen position is memorized when you turn off your Pa3X,
and at next boot , screen always raises at that saved specific position.
Screen release button function can never be memorized ! !

Thanks. I do understand the instructions. What Pete and yourself described works on my friends keyboard. Following those exact same steps on mine does not.AntonySharmman wrote:jonstatt

Ah!!!
In that case it sounds like a keyboard problem.
If it is still under warranty, I would get it fixed. This is a feature clearly supported and expected to work as described on Page 12 in the latest PA3X User Manual.
Cheers
