OS first followed by RES - if you have lots of personal data you need to restore do a backup first.

Hi,

I just loaded the operating system and it updated the new styles, voices and songbook automatically (I think). Is this right?

For Upgrading your existing set do the follow steps.

- Save your set.ALL
- Load OPS 1.5
- Load Res-Reset 1.5
After loading Resources 1.5 , your Users & Favorite Styles , User sounds (& PCM) will be
untouched and only performance banks will be replaced by factory ones.
- Explore all new performances and copy what you like the most at your vacant favorite banks.
- Finally open yourset.ALL and load back your perform file (and songbook if needed).

This way you've been fully upgraded

Anthony, question for you. I was able to load OPS and the resources once I did that all the new performances and styles were there. I then added my set.all back in. I'm now missing many of the new performances some did come over but many did not. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Any suggestions on what I steps I should take to correct the missing performances? Thank you

Steps I described seem to be crystal clear !
Two things have to be noticed there
- Examine and save best factory performance into your favorite banks
- Load only your performance file not all set , in order to save time

The other option is to reload 1.5 resources , save only performances as a different set f.e.
factoryPerf.SET and after loading your set , select banks and save to vacant favorites banks to explore them!

Many thanks professor. Some of us are slower than others.

- Save your set.ALL
- Load OPS 1.5

Go to MEDIA mode and Do a Factory Restore.

NO NEED to load res file.

Is that accurate , that only OPS includes new waveforms also ?
In case you have not loaded Res 1.5 , are you sure that all new resources included in PDF
exist in Pa3X only by loading OPS 1.5 ?
It seem to be important information !

Hi,

There is no need for the "Pa3X_res_v150.pkg" file. You just need the "Pa3X_os_v150.pkg" file. The second one is only to be used when a full reset is needed.

After loading the "Pa3X_os_v150.pkg" file, as explained in the instructions you can find together with the .pkg file, please do not forget to go to Media > Utility and do a Factory Restore.

Remember to save your custom data before updating the system.

Best regards,
Paolo

There is no new waveform.
The new sounds are from old waveforms only.
