+1 - excellent

Very clean design. It would be wonderful if this were so successful and became so full of great samples, that finding things in the site became challenging. Enabling a sort on Author, Name, and possibly a Category might be helpful in that rosy scenario.

Thanks for putting this together... --Scott

Great initiative Mathieu!

I have converted myself earlier submitted samples to OS 2:
- Sonatina strings (author:Busch)
- Triple Strike piano (author:Sharp)
- Superwave P8 (author:Sharp)

And there is also the recent submitted RSF-piano

If wanted I can send you the files for upload again, but I guess the original authors will do that as well

Great overview!

I suggest reuploading them to a seperate webspace, where everything is centralized in one place, not just linking them with the original places for downloading, since these might change without the knowledge of the site owner and then these are gone. Better to keep a copy on your own, which you can control.

This might be the problem:

In the relevant Programs, you need to remap the samples to the new User Sample Banks

Follow instructions on page 155 of the OS202 Operations Guide (bottom right: "converting older sounds")

Works all fine with me

For the record, I'm hosting the files myself on my Dropbox account for now, so all libraries are on a central place.

However, I want to maintain a reference to the source where I found them, so that the proper people creating them keep the credits.

PCG files contain mostly programs, combis, set list slots and the global section.

KMP and KSF files contains samples and sample info. The last two files are explained in detail in the operations guide.

Need Help Please

Post by lotty1 »

Can anybody make an idiot guide step by step on how to load a sample?
The manual is worse than useless in my opinion.
This must be easy but I get so many problem because I’m not sure what I’m doing.
I Know I should just play it but I got to learn more about sampling and synthesizer experiments.
Please help.

Hi mathieumaes.

I'm very sorry but to protect KF, I must insist that you do not promote your website here at KF until further notice. I must also inform you that I fear you might unknowingly be hosting copyrighted material.

Can you also please remove any content from your website that was created by me. I wish for this data to only remain available through this website.

Some reassurances need to be given by people posting content, and possibly they may need something explained to them regarding what is acceptable resampling if that's what they are doing, which I expect it is.

Kind regards
Sharp.
