Are the keys supposed to be his noisy?

Post by Jordy »

My board is only 3 days old, but since I got it, I hear a spring type sound right at middle "C". The other keys don't have it, but that one right smack in the middle sounds bad. I think I'll have Guitar Center take this back and get me another since I have the 30 days return.

Any ideas?

Hi there, mine is exactly the same as yours. The keys are fine apart from middle "C".

It sounds like the spring is creaking, I dont really notice it when the keyboard is on and playing through monitors/headphones but when the keyboard is off and I press it, it does make a different noise than the other keys.

Perhaps this is common??

Yes, All the KORG PA3X keys gives a cracking sound but not in YAMAHA Tyros 3. The keys are more smoother and doesn't make any noise.

So, when you are playing with headphones, your kids cannot sleep around you as they would hear constant cracking sounds from the keys

Korg should listen and improve upon that.
