OASYS Service Manual

Post by jonnyj »

Someone has offered to sell me an OASYS service manual that is supposed to have 8.5x14 schematics. Might be a good investment for years down the road either for me or someone who may have to service it. I know there is a reason you pay qualified people to do things. I don't see any extra income in my future to pay for costly repairs so like my cars, whenever possible DIY. I would mainly buy it in hopes that it offers the reportedly detailed steps on how to access and replace the hard drive. That's my main concern of owning the OASYS over the rest of my life. If I ever got to the point where it was absolutely necessary I have all the threads saved, actually there are two saved. One is a lot more involved and another involves bending a part to access the drive faster. However I would rather have the official guide to do it from Korg which I am guess it is not in there because the person offering it to me hasn't answered that question. I plan on doing a clone of the drive at some point in case of an unforeseen disaster. Anyone on here read the service manual know if that part is explained?

I think we all think the same way jonnyj!

First of all, yes the service manual has step-by-step photos to locate the HDD and how to remove.

Second, don't see why you should have to pay for the service manuals (there are two). PM me.
