newly released Kronos
hallo, my name is manos karavelakis and this is my first post at your websight. i am really sorry for my bad language. this is also the reason that i dont have post yet.
i am owner of one pa2x and korg triton extreme+moss. i am intent to buy korg kronos 88 keys. i wait over a month to solve the problem with the bad keaboard. i want to know when will we have the new realased hardware at greece. i think its not a good idea to buy one kronos and after the buy to go for service.
again i want to apologise for my bad communication and i would like mr RichF or another person from korg to reply to the message.
thanks a lot!

I think the new Korgs will be delivered with the new keybed, however I don't know if stock is automatically sent back to Korg to be fixed/replaced. I think it depends on the store (owner).

I have to agree with what the rest of the people said here. Your English is fine. Please don't be afraid to post here. I have a first edition Kronos and it works just fine. I am sure the key-bed problems have already been solved,

i want to thank you for your comments and for the advise to be active to the forum.
as i can understand the situation with the new deliveries is a little bit confuzed... also i live too far from the capital city (athens). i live on crete. for me the worst scenario is to come the new 88 kronos with the problem and after this to pack and to send again for service...
i think that the best decision for me is to wait until someone from korg to make a formal announce that all the new keyboards are working 100% . i think that many people around the world are in the same situation like me and korg sould make this clear very soon.

I can remember there is a music shop on Samos and one in Chios if I remember right, however that's still quite a distance.ferma1981 wrote:i want to thank you for your comments and for the advise to be active to the forum.

I can't remember seeing a music shop in Crete but I assume there will be shops there. However, you are far better known in Greece (I only have been there about 6 times on vacation).
(btw, Crete is great).

I see no reason why you couldn't order it special with the new key bed.ferma1981 wrote: i think that the best decision for me is to wait until someone from korg to make a formal announce that all the new keyboards are working 100%
I'm sure one of the suppliers there would be just as pleased to make the sale.
I would inquire, waiting for Korg to make any announcements, you may never get to own a Kronos. (Sorry Korg, couldn't resist)

I'm from Canada and toured through part of Europe in the late 90's with a Korg Wavestaion EX and a Roland U-20. The Wavestation crashed twice but I was lucky enough to have a great sound man who knew people in Zurich at a music store that properly dealt with Korg keyboards. My question is, are you going to be playing off of the island? Chances are that if something goes wrong you will be near a large city that has a Korg repair place. Well, at least we hope you are.

My firend, I have one of the first 100 Kronos.. it works perfectly in all respects... I even have left it on for 2 weeks to see if something bad may happen.. They call this a burn in process for electronics.. when somethign goes wrong, it goes wrong at the beginneing..
THere are a few people had some issues compared to the many, and I understand their frustration, since you pay so much money for a keyboard and it either gets delivered damaged or something breaks...
I am Greek, but live in America.. but my advice to you is put your order in and get it...
Kane to stavro sou (say a prayer), and everything will be all right...
And since you live on a island away from the mainland, you always are going to take a chance anyway when you order any new keyboard, right?
N'ase Kala...

There is a small percentage of people with this problem, most people don't have it. But its the nature of the interwebs to make these problems look much worse then they actually are, because most of the time it are the people with these problems to start browsing the interwebs for solutions and not the people without these problems.taki wrote:My firend, I have one of the first 100 Kronos.. it works perfectly in all respects... I think that in Greece they will sell old stock first, before selling the newer models. If you want to be absolutely sure i would call the Korg Imprter for greece instead of asking this on the interwebs.
michelkeijzers there are music stores at Crete but i dont know if they can repair a possible problem or they have to send to athens.
lou until now i dont make clear if there are differences between an old keybed (that works fine) and the new one keybed. i wonder if the new one is better...
jeremykeys all my jobs located into the island and i am away from the capital city...
taki i agree that you can discover the most of serius problems at the beggining... generally i'm very suspicious with this situation. greetings from ierapetra, the most southern town in europe!!!
Bachus i will call the local dealer to make it clear...

I would assume a shop owner can replace a keybed (it's not rocket science).
Korg probably gives detailed instructions how to perform the replacement.

Sorry as well, because Ferma, you are right and the best advise is just that, wait for an official confirmation that every unit in the market has no flaws regarding the RH3 keybeds, to be able to purchase with confidence.Lou wrote:ferma1981 wrote: i think that the best decision for me is to wait until someone from korg to make a formal announce that all the new keyboards are working 100%

Sadly I think Lou has nailed it, perfectly.
As usual, It may never be a official Korg announcement.
