converting Kronos sequences into songs: que list vs set list
OK, I've tried to rtfm but they are sparse and surprisingly don't seem to answer this question: with the Triton, one would convert a "que list" of sequences to a song. I suspect the Kronos "set list" functions the same way but I can't seem to make it play (or create an entirely new sequence by linking together smaller sequences). What emoticon do I use for feeling stupid? Seriously though, is there an online resource describing the linking of sequences for creating and saving songs with Kronos? Thanks (sheepish emoticon).
Tim
Set list is not a substitute for " que" list???
From one or two indirect statements in the main forum, it looks like there is no way to create a song by stringing together sequences, like with the Triton. That is a shame. I hope I am wrong.

You can do it with the old fashioned copy & paste method. Cue list was only ever really useful in simple setups and is kinda clunky.
Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,
Other Mfgrs: Moog Sub37, Roland Boutique JX03, Novation MiniNova, Akai APC40, MOTU MIDI TimePiece 2, ART Pro VLA, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40.

I don't know why I keep seeing this sentiment all over the message boards. it is almost like korg is trying to make us happy that they dropped the ball. Just because it was not useful to you does not mean it is not for me. I never used the sampler or karma, but i am not posting that they are useless and never worked....X-Trade wrote:You can do it with the old fashioned copy & paste method. I dropped thousands on this great machine, only to have it gathering dust because I did not realize the cue list was not included. It is an integral part of my setup. I figured out the trick to go from song to song without the timing glitch, and used it all the time as a midi file player, where I could control the loops with my foot pedal. the only reason I have not put my kronos on ebay is because I have not had the time. it is a shame because I love the sounds.
Absolutely not. I think it is a great feature in concept. Despite this though, I've hardly ever used it because it seemed to temperamental or at least not greatly implemented. Note that I have tried to use it and it would be quite useful to me.
I do wish they would put it back in.
But currently the alternatives are:
1. Copy & Paste
2. RPPR
3. ?

Unfortunately, those are alternatives to replace the cue list feature of combining parts to get a song. I used it as a real-time midi file player where each "sng" was a complete song and the only other possible alternative was the midi file player with the jukebox function, which also got removed. ARGHHHH!. At this point, all of the big three manufacturers have sounds that are very good, so it is the feature set that gets my money. I guess I am stuck with my Extreme for another few years

You could always use the Extreme to drive the Kronos?
