- Make the "shift" button behave the same way like a phone keyboard: press once for 1 character, press twice for locking uppercases
- A global setting that turns on the "favorites" filter by default... So whenever you go to the programs list, you see just the sounds that you use often
- Show a notification (an icon, text, blinking, ...) whenever you have unsaved data. That way you may remind the user he needs to save :-)
The first one would possibly be impossible, because the display is not multiple touch.

Third one would be nice ... or maybe even a requester to warn about it.

A page in the Kronos UI that shows the key elements of a GV1-based GE, in a format similar to the Arpeggiator pages/tabs on the M50, which would provide a simple interface for creating arpeggiator GEs without having to use the Karma software (see >>here and >>there).

It doesn't need multitouch to do that:
- First, you press shift once. it lights up (somehow)
- Press another key, it will become uppercase and shift is turned off
- Press shift 2 times in a row, all upcoming characters are uppercase until you press shift again.

Exactly the same operation as Android and iOS keyboards, where you don't need multitouch to operate the keyboard...

Ok I understood wrong ... but you are right .. this would be an easy and useful change.

Korg Kronos

I want Korg to bring out a 73 key version with Semi-Weighted keys that the 61 key version has.
Anyone else agree?
Lets let Korg know!

What I think might be usefull is a Direct Access to global transpose parameter from the setlist and the ability to save its setting with the setlist.

Furthermore, usefull for sure as well would be MP3 or WMA playback, to save HDD space, once you have to deal around with a lot of backing files...

As stated in the above forum it seems to be quite hard to load this kind of samples without being faded out. In fact, that's about the only thing my Fantom G does correct.. :P

Strange though that even in the VST market, there's no such thing as a simple sample playback engine.. At least i haven't found one, and I did search a lot...
You can use Native Instruments Battery for this... It can also trigger slots by midi notes or cc´s....

1. Transfer data (samples, files, folders, etc) over USB to Mac/PC
2. Playhead marker in Sample Edit, Loop Edit, and Track Edit
3. Zoom In/Out in Track Edit
4. Sample Slice (Divide) into Equal Regions (Time Slice/Time Stretch)
5. "Latch" [Enter] button for use in Sample Edit/Loop Edit
6. Key plays edit range
7. Option to "LINK" Sample Start Point and Loop Start Point
8. Sample Edit: Add Pitch Shift (change pitch without changing tempo)
9. UNDO/REDO Last Edit
10. Grid (Sequencer) Recording and Editing

- ad a sound-tranpose function for all de sounds at once, complementary to the key-transpose function (my yamaha S90es has this function). So when you transpose the sounds on the Kronos, a second keyboard who is connected to midi is also playing the transposed sound. With just the keytranspose function, the second keyboard is playing in the original key.
Thats inconveniant when I want to transpose my whole setup at once, during an modulation in the song. And thats happening a lot in my band. Or is there an other way to do this?
- put the transpose function on the programmable SW swithes, so you have easy acces to the transpose function.
- or put the transpose function in the setlist edit page.

I would like to see the ability, also on the second pedal to select program up and down, like it is for the first pedal in global mode of the Kronos. Like this you would be able to configure a real moving around in the setlist, not only moving forward OR backward... (Or the implementation of CC96/97 for this!)

My wish : a rackmount Kronos, with real time controllers and which can be fully edited from its own panel, like the Triton Rack or the Yamaha EX5R

_____Image ___ Image.

(not a rack that cannot be edited without a software like the TR-Rack or the Motif Rack).

Even better, with the same touch screen as the keyboard, like Roland did with their V-Synth XT:

_____Image

A rackmount Kronos would have several advantages:
¤ every musician could chose a master keyboard with the action they prefer.
¤ when used intensely on stage, a keyboard wears out much more than the synth itself ; a master KB is easier to exchange than a built-in KB
¤ no accumulation of useless keyboards in the studio when you have a lot of gear and limited space
¤ no need to pay for a KB when you already have a good master KB
.

It would be nice to be able to change velocity zones (and possibly keyboard zones?) in combi with controllers, namely VJS (would be helpful especially if the combi is heavy, since muted parts still play, but not when they are outside of the velocity zone). It probably wouldn't have much other uses than when playing orchestra-combis (allows much greater expression that way, in my opinion). And I think muted sounds should be truly muted, at least in combi. (in sequence mode the current behaviour is probably better)

Also, it would be nice to be able to quickly switch off the unnecessary (muted) parts in combi mode (by switching from "INT" to "off"), which are by default KRONOS German Grands, which causes unwanted EXi-load. (actually many preset sounds include this extra load.)

A good idea if they could make a table top version with wood side panels....
