I'll let them fix bugs first on Pa3...Wishes seems to be far away in this stage of pa3 software.
But,when that day come ,my wishlist,that I can remember:
1. I want VOLUME to be the 1st page again instead of STS name on MAIN screen.
and add some ELEMENTAL functions in Style Record Mode:
2. PLEASE ENABLE copying in style record from VAR to INTRO !
3. Enable changing eg 4/4 meter to 2/4 without erasing all var,fiil or intro -ending
4. Enable ADVANCED CUT in style record mode,to look like delete menu,so we can cut what we want. eg-:
Because you dont want to add HALF BAR button on KORG arranger keyboard,give us option to easily make 2/4 bar from 4/4.
These my wishlist for future KORG arrangers,and PA3, but I doubt,KORG rarely listen their customers.

So there's been hardly any improvement in the style record mode then? right? So far, I haven't heard of anything new as far as editing capabilities go.

Use of PAD buttons for MARKER functions when using a midi file so we can quickly change with the easy of a touch in a button leaving the screen for other things like lyrics or staff view ... and because the screen not always react at first touch.... so in live playing is like goodbye chance to repeat some part of the midifile...
This is a must for live performers and is implemented in Roland G-70 and Yamahas like PSR,Tyros ,so... why not in new korgs ?
I think is not so difficult to modify the OS and in SONG PLAY you use PAD BUTTONS FOr that BECAUSE THEY ARE USELESS IN SONG PLAY MODE!!!

This has been on the wishlist since i30...... will PA99X have output 1 & 2 which you can use the same as L & R ? ... On i30 I wished to split L Hand ,R Hand & Drums..... On the PA3X I would like also have vocals to a seperate output. I agree with you this is really important if you play with other musicians, they are used to the drums in the back-line, keyboard in back-line and vocals through PA.I will WAIT untill Korg has an instrument that can do this.netraly1 wrote:Would be great if drums can play in 1&2 out line with effect.

Unless I have missed it, the ability in Style Play Track controls to offset velocity on whole tracks and drums within kits would be of enormous value. Just turning up or down the volume isn't the same as turning up or down the velocity... makes a huge difference on vel-switched sounds.
I completely agree with re-tasking buttons in Song Mode for Markers. But why just the Pad buttons? Why not all the Intro/Fill/Var/End buttons.... they don't do anything in Song Mode, do they? The more Markers, the better!
I guess at this point, the nasty switch on/off transient would take a hardware re-design to fix, but it's annoying that Korg didn't care about this.
The track Solo button needs to be on the edit page, not hidden in a sub-menu.
Be nice if the Balance slider had a nice center detent...
Unless I have missed it, I can't get the Chord Sequencer to change key when I transpose the PA3x. A very standard trick is to half step up the last verse or chorus, and the Chord track doesn't seem to respond to the transpose buttons.
Boot up time is so long, I can't imagine playing this live without a UPS in case there's a power flicker.
It would be great if Chord Sequencer tracks could be saved and linked to the Performance or Songbook. And it would be great if multiple chord sequences could be selected from the touch screen. So a sequence for verse, bridge, chorus, solo etc. could be sitting there waiting for us at our whim. The ultimate merging of style play, SMF and Markers!
More to come as I get used to this!

I am starting to edit my friend's converted Roland styles. Wow! What a PITA Korg have managed to make some simple tasks!
One thing I would DEARLY like is to be able to select which Element and Chord Var I am working on from the panel buttons and keyboard. In the Event editor and main page, you have to go to tiny little hard to hit buttons to select these, while the In/Var/Fill/End buttons do nothing. Why not make THEM select the Element? And why not let what chord you play on the keyboard determine which Chord Var you are working on? Have whatever edit page you are in immediately jump to this you play or select from the front panel.
Plus, I would like to see a lot more Global edits. Why do I have to repeat the exact same action for multiple Elements and Chord Vars? There should be an option to edit ALL, or a COPY to ALL for every action.
To do something as simple as lowering the velocity of a bass Part (to make it sit better with thumb and pulls, for instance) or raising the velocity of a Piano Part (to make it hit the harder velocity samples) in an entire style, I have to repeat my edit up to 90 times? (15 Elements times 6 CV's). WTF!
Korg, you need to find a way to make this MUCH easier...
(Or, if I have missed something simple, please tell me how I can do this in one step...)

I think it would be a good idea for Korg to make style and sequencer part editing a little closer to the way it is done in computer DAWs.
Specifically I'm talking about Piano Roll Edit Screen and Track View Screen, the way it's done in M3 XPanded.
Plus a way to do a realtime swing quantize from 0 to 100% in one step increments with preview, so that you can dial in the exact feel, and hear the change as the track(s) still play.
It would be so much more convenient not to need to hook the keyboard up to a computer all the time for making and editing styles.
Especially when you're on the go and you need to make something quick, but with a way to edit it easily.
It's just logical!
The all-in-one concept could actually work, given that these "little" details are covered! (After the OS is free of bugs, and completely stable, of course).

Its already possible, via user scale, you set third up key in user scale and get third up that plays by scale you set. Like in this video, and you can transpose it...

I do that but not with USER SCALE .... with USER DK ....
when we tune USER SCALE it changes all sounds and not just one !!!

Oh yes, i remembered, some time ago I was speaking to Mr.Steve McNally about pa2-pa3x and nano series compatibility, he said that he would talk to Mr. Francesco from Korg Italy team about this thing and that it would be probably possible... However it would be cool to plug in lets say nano pad directly to pa3x and use it live without pc, or make styles using nano pad, so there's a sugestion...
