I'm messing around on my triton extreme and I notice sound is only coming out the right speaker and only showing signal to the right channel in pro tools. I figure a cable went bad.... But no. Each cable works individually on each out (L/R) but when both are plugged into the preamp, only the right side plays. As soon as I remove the cable from the right out of the triton, the left channel will play. As soon as I plug it back in, the left channel cuts out and only the right plays.
Same thing happens on other preamps. So it's not a preamp or cable issue.
What the hell is going on!?
Anybody here run into this problem?

Notice that the jack is labeled L/MONO. That means that when a cable is plugged into to only that jack and not the R jack, then the output is a mono sum of the L+R outputs. When you insert a plug into the R jack, then the L/MONO jack becomes the Left side only. So, if nothing is being output to the Left main output, the L/Mono will contain the Right main output when nothing is plugged into the R jack.
Plug in headphones to see if you hear audio on the left and right channels. If you hear audio on the left through the headphones, then you probably have a problem with the L/Mono jack or the main output circuit.
