If all these events are low-key like that, I probably will attend the one at West LA Music. Looks like it could be pretty fun.jonnyj wrote:Hi all just wanted to drop a note for those interested we posted our experience at the Kronos All Access Party at Washington Music Center April 6, 2011. Re: Kronos All Access Party Report April 6, 2011 On Synth.Me
7 days from now I will be HOPEFULLY playing around on a Kronos at Bellevue American Music in Washington. Of course I am going to secretly download the manual from the keyboard itself and leak it
Would Wikileaks host it???
Seriously though, I'll at least record it and take some pictures.... I'll take a sick day if I have to!

I think I have just found a video recording of this event on YouTube:jonnyj wrote:Hi all just wanted to drop a note for those interested we posted our experience at the Kronos All Access Party at Washington Music Center April 6, 2011. Korg Kronos Launch Party at Chuck Levin's 4-6-2011
In some other thread there was a debate about articulations (Yamaha Tyros 4, Roland Jupiter-80 versus Korg). I liked the brass and woodwind sound in this demo, see at 12:20. They seem to be coming from the built-in "EXs3 Brass & Woodwinds" library - which was a paid option for OASYS.
PS. The quality of the video is very low. The sound is distorted. And it's "the first US demonstration to customers of the new Korg Kronos" (says the caption), the best sounding workstation of the planet.

Still, the demonstration is good and interesting and the Kronos sounds incredible!
Nice video.. Mod 7 is fantastic! Strings weak.,STR1 ,sounds kinda like a Harpsichord to me. Some of the brass articulations look like they are coming from movement of the joystick or ribbon controller. I also thought Korg would have released more (high quality) sound clips and videos by now ..I thought they were going to add to the ones on the website? I want to be blown away and for some reason I am not. I guess maybe since I had an Oasys, maybe I am expecting too much from this or something.
How much better is the Kronus than the Oasys anyway?

can't wait to hear what you find - I would have tried to tag along with you, but I'm stuck in Chicago this week for some SAP training.

LOL.. posting soon. Been very busy since getting home. The Kronos is simply amazing. Blown away. And the FEEL??? WOW, Ya close your eyes, and you wouldn't know you weren't sitting at a Steinway
None of the pictures on the web even come close to showing you how nice the high res screen looks. Very fine detailed.
