Korg Newb, please help!!

Ok, so I'm used to producing dance/hip hop/pop tracks on CPU programs... Trying to produce on hardware... Trouble is Idk much about it. I have a microstation just an introductory workstation to get my feet in the water so to speak...

My question is, how do I set songs up pattern-wise.... Hip hop beats have many same repeating parts so I know Timbaland/Kanye West don't play the loops over and over. I know I can loop but I don't want to loop the whole song, just most of it.

PLZ help!!!
