Need some help with my EMX-SD

Post by Zemata »

So I know how to look through all the drum PCMs. Just hit part edit, up to wave, hit my drum part, and just turn the dial to the drum part I like. But I'm going through the instructions and it shows a list of synth PCMs as well.

When I have my synth part selected, It only allows me to change the waveform. How do I find the list of synth sounds?

I think you maybe need to use the keyboard function to get the parts to sound the way you want.

Choose one of the two "Keyboars parts" and pick a sample from 130(clav)-156(powerchrd) acording to the manual. Now press the "Keyboard" button. Use the 16 step keys at the bottom as keys of a keyboard to play the sample over. These samples are set with loop points, so when a key is held, the note is held. Like a synth  Step key 4 is middle C.

I hope this is what you were looking for.

I don't quite understand what you mean. What two keyboard parts? I just want to know how to look through the preset synth sounds. There are drum ones and I can look through them just fine. They match the list in the instructions P.39 but on P.40 there's a list of synth sounds and I don't know how to get to those. I can only seem to change the waveform (Saw, Pulse, Triangle, Sine) when I have "PART EDIT" selected and have one of my five synth sounds selected.

Hi ,

Select a Synth Part , turn the SYNTH OSCILLATOR KNOB to PCM+COMB or PCM+WS and you can then scroll thru the PCM synth list .
Enjoy :soundsgood
