EM-1 won't let me erase any song

Post by Rexy »

I've taken the memory protect off I hold Shift and key# 13 'clear song' it blinks I press once again hit play and the demo song starts playing.. I cannot figure this out. I just want to blank out a song and start from scratch.... Anyone else had this problem ?
Thanks

Same here. I did the same - turned the protection off, pushed the Shift button, and then key 13, which started blinking, then key 13 again, and nothing happened :-(

WHat is it that I'm missing? I searched the forum, the manual, and all I was able to find was the procedure that didn't work for me...

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers,
Lukasz

A 'song' is just a series of patterns strung together, so I guess just 'clearing' the song will empty the list of patterns to play in order.

It won't do anything to the actual pattern that you currently have selected. You make your song by making new patterns for each bit/section/part, and then putting them in order using the Song mode.

Oh dear, you're right! THe song has actually cleared, just that it seems the EM1 defaults to pattern A.01 once you clear the song, and that's what was playing…

Thanks for helping me out - I knew it was something simple :-)
