Kaoss Pad 3 and Traktor S4

Hey everyone, just wondering...

DOes anyone have any experience hooking up the KP3 pad to a mixer? I have the New Traktor S4 and having the KP3 pad would be awesome for effects and stuff while djing.

Is the pad just a pass through between one item and a mixer? Or does it only work for specific items.

Right now I just have my Traktor S4 connected to a multi channel mixer using TRS cables.

If i purchased the KP3 would I just run the cables into the composite inputs on the KP3 and then run that into the multi channel mixer?

Seems like a cool item, but if it won't work... don't wanna spend the 300.

it works for any audio signal

it can work in DIRECT mode, which goes in-line between a sound source and a mixer, or it can be used in SEND mode on an effects loop for mixers which have a send and return feature

Thanks for the info, I think I would be using it in its direct mode with my controller. Gonna do some more research before finalizing, but speaking logivally, it doesn't look like it would cause much of a problem.

Only reason I'm checking is because if it doesn't work with the traktor s4, I'd just invest in a kaoss pro and use it stand alone for beats and stuff

yeah man, it simply goes between your S4 and the mixer. it intercepts the S4's output, converts the effect and send out the line out to your amp/mixer.

thats how i have it setup. the only flaw, you cant effect one deck at a time, its the master only but thats ok for me. i dont mind.
