Hi.

I'm an American, lawyer, musical hobbyist & certified midiot.
I live most of the year in Vietnam.

I play guitar & keys. Mainly I'm a composer - not a performing musician.
Now & then, I'll play out. But it's too much of a hassle to disconnect, pack,
haul, unpack, connect, disconnect, re-pack, haul back & reconnect again.
I'm getting too old for that.

This is my third Korg. I had an N-364 & then a Triton Le.
I thought both were pretty under-rated synths. I wish the M3m
had some of the old N364 patches.

I've wanted KARMA for a long time. That's why I bought the M3m Xp.
And I'm not disappointed.

My current synth line-up in Asia is:

Yamaha Mu 100 & 90 R. (For MIDI sequencing & recording).

Kawai K1R - for string pad sounds only.

Korg M3m for stand-alone composition & recording.

Roland RS-50 for MIDI controller for all synths except M3m.

M-Audio Axiom 25 key MIDI controller for M3m.

One day, I intend to sample the Kawai K1's string pad sounds &
put them into the M3m. But I may need to get the 256 meg card
to do it right.

Hey gurn

Welcome to KF

Nice set up you have - would love a M3m - but I still have my trusty old Karma (cannot part with it).

Have fun
