I´m playing a song in combi mode but i want record all the sounds, drums and arpegios , using cubase sx. When I did it, I only recorded part of the combi sound , no drums no arpegios. How can i do it. I mean record the same combi sound in one track in cubase sx....????? thankyou.

If you want to record MIDI, you'll have to set the M50 to transmit MIDI for drums and arps. I'm not 100% sure if it can do that (I haven't needed to do it myself), but have a look around in the global mode. 1-1: MIDI Basic and 1-2: MIDI Routing should have what you want.
If you just want to record the *sound* (audio), it's even easier. Just get two audio cables and connect the M50's audio out jacks to the audio in jacks on your computer audio interface (sound card).

Have you seen these two videos? Rich is on the M3, but it applies all the same to the M50 since it has a similar sequencer.

You don't record a combi. You copy the combi contents to the sequencer and then record there. If you want to add more sounds to a combi or sequence you simply select the track where you want the new sound on and then click the drop down menu and select Copy from Program.lazer16 wrote: Thankyou. but those videos didnt show How to record combies. How do you add more sounds to combies???

He says he is working with cubase on the computer, sequencing MIDI from there.
That is the problem. The M50 (and any synth) can only do so much at one time. When you record MIDI, you're only recording the notes you play, and then when you play it back it is telling the M50 to play those notes again! If you change the combi, you will notice that the same performance is played, exactly (notes, controller changes, everything) but using the new sound, because the M50 is replaying your performance.
You can only have one combi open on the M50 at a time. Combis generally aren't great places for multitrack work. They are designed to be entire performances in themselves - combinations of instruments.
Anyway, you can either copy the combi to the sequencer, and then add more tracks there on different MIDI channels and sequence them from cubase, or you can go down the other route which is recording the audio from the M50 into audio tracks in cubase. Which you'll have to do eventually anyway when you want a MP3 or Wave or CD of your song.

I want to write a similar song. thanks X-Trade.
