duplicate patterns on emx1 ?

Post by themesser »

hi everybody,
i wonder if there is a way to duplicate, or copy and paste, a whole pattern without having to do it part by part. also, can i repeat within a pattern all the instruments and drums without having to do it one by one ?
thanks for your help

You only have to save the Pattern to another pattern-slot. For example load pattern a1 and save to a2.

Or did I misunderstood your question???

That's right and to copy parts use the repeat option in the move part function.

It's all in the manual homie, read up.

@roxxx303: smart move, i did not think about doing that, and it does exactly what i want.
@Aciphecs: i cant find a way to apply the repeat function to all parts, i have to repeat individually drums part and synth parts, that is quite annoying. Is there a trick to get it all done at once ? (i read the manual but could not find, that is why i ask on the forum)
sorry for being unclear, english is not my mother tongue; i'll try to illustrate with an example.
i have a pattern of length = 1; i work on it and then decide to extend the pattern to length = 4 (for example). I want to repeat all the parts to the 3 other measures without having to do it individually for each part (meaning repeating drums and synths all at once). Is that possible ?

wrire your pattern 1 bar save it with the write button then go to length in a pattern edit and go down to bar legnth. when you can chang the bar legnth it will repeat all data in the new bars. that should sort it out
