This stuff:

Took a couple of coatings, but it worked and came off clean. I should mention, that after doing this, the aluminum is unprotected and will pick up the oil and grime from your hands pretty quickly. I think it kinda adds to the mad max look stripping it gives it, but some may not. I'm sure you could spray it with some kind of clear coat once it's stripped. Also the legend stayed perfectly intact on mine so you can still read it. I think it looks 100% better than the pink/red.

Here are a couple pics:

Maybe I should Easy off my EMX now too?

I convinced myself if I do that, it will keep me from ever selling the EMX.
I vacillate all the time about it, taking off the blue would be an insurance policy that I couldn't sell it for what it's worth

It's a MidiBox SID. Fully stuffed MB6582. 8 SID 6582 chips, stereo analog SSM2044 filters. Fun stuff anyone can build one.

You can read more here:

I wonder if it would work on the Kaoss pad 3 also? It would be nice to have all silver matching machines...

I didn't think the KP3 was anodyzed though. Isn't a black sorta hard plastic casing?

It also works with the older ones too! I did it to mine, which is over 5 yrs old. It didn't come out as nice as the one pictured here and it took over an hour of multiple coatings of oven cleaner, but I was happy with the results. I would post my pic, but I'm at work and can't access the URL.

I see you are on the Electribe Forum too, you can see the results there.
