Does any body have this problem?
Yo 2 all,
hear this...
Sometimes when I turn on my keyboard and press the keys the sound detunes on its own. I don't have anything (midi or otherwise plugged up to it) Also, when playing along with normal CDs, it's not in tune, so what I do is set the Master Tune to -50 cents (427.47 Hz)
Anybody else had this problem? could it be rectified or do I save that global setting for life?
thanx

Love yourself always!!!
It could be one of two things.
1: The joystick is not returning to it's correct position correctly or it is somewhat faulty.
2: Personally though I'd be more likely to point my finger at the Power Supply your feeding the keyboard. It's come up many times before, tuning issues due to poor quality power supply. If you feel the power in your area is not of good quality and you feel this could be a problem. Then buy a UPS.
You can pick one up at any computer store.

I found a strange tuning problem that is very apparent with mono patches. It may or may not be the same problem that others are experiencing.
I haven't messed with this in awhile, but I think this is how you can hear it:
Select a mono patch
Hit a low note and hold the key down
While it's still down, press a high note really fast (to trigger a high velocity)
I'm relatively certain that's the scenario that shows the tuning issue.

well this low note to high note thing might actually be different thing altogether... it is called aliasing. If you have a mono patch which is legato and you hold a low note and then play high note the sample of the low note stretches to the frequency or pitch of the high note. This causes a lot of weird ringing sounds and other noise in the sound because the sample stretches too much and starts to sound bad.
Korg Triton Classic 61-keys, Native Instruments Kore 2 (SW&HW)
Hmm... I just tried it again, and was able to reproduce it using some synth sounds that I sampled and then programmed into the E bank. I wonder if my issue is only reproduce-able using the sample RAM? I wasn't able to reproduce it using the factory sounds. It just might be aliasing. It sounds like a weird detuning - not quite like a typical aliasing sound.
