KORG Media eXtractor (PCM/KMP to .Wav)

Post by kamzamalov »

Hi Guys,

I developed a little program (KORG Media eXtractor) that would help me extract a sound as a .Wav from PCM & KMP files. I thought I'd share it with you, which helps speeding up stuff.

Quite simple to use. Simply click on the relevant button depending on which File format you wish to add PCM/KMP and select the folder which contains that File extension. All the Files will be then picked up and shown on the left. Simply clicking on each item would open the contents on the right hand list and by clicking on each you would be able to hear and view the Sound details.
You can extract a Single .Wav or CTRL+Click for multiple selections. Click the 'Export .WAV' button and that would save all the selected Files as .Wav in the same folder as the .exe & "Exported".

You can download it from here: http://www.wavextractor.com

I've tested it a lot. In case you do get errors (hopefully you dont :D ), then please let me know and I'll try and update.

Thanks

Hi Alexi, what a nice and simple to operate little program this is. Very, very easy to use and I like that aspect. Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with this software. :D

Just meandering here. I'm wondering if the application could be expanded easily to convert tvn voices from Tyros2 to wav. That would be great if possible. :)

I would be happy to place a link on my website as a service to pa users with your permission and help promote your software.... :)

I'm a KORG user my self and have never fiddled around with the TYROS and have no clue how it operates and have never came across its .TVN / .UVN files. But it might be something I could look in to.

Well I do have a few ideas, but those require some serious programming to be carried out. I don't know if I have all that spare time. But we'll see :D

it's similar to baboch his software the only different with your tool is that you don't have to install anything just select and play.

Nice tool I like it, thx!

Would you be able to fix it so that it displays samples (KSFs) in the exact same order as they would be if you loaded them into your PA arranger. Right now they seem to be scattered all around. Let me know if you do not understand what I mean, I will try to explain with pictures. Otherwise Excellent software!!!

also and the fact that it Reads .KMP files too, not just .PCM.

Isn't the order always the same? As in; MS000001.KSF, MS000002.KSF, etc.. etc... Please do explain with pictures. :)

I thinks Nor's idea is the best, creating your own set on your computer using different samples and styles from different sets.

if someone did such a software for merging sets for pa series... he will be a rich man if he sell that program for 20-30 euros... i will first pay even more to have such tool... it will save a lot of time and stayin up late with my keyboard...
