Korg D1600 CD Burner isn't functioning

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. The CD writer on my Korg D1600 isn't loading. I looked at the drives list, and there is no longer a CD-writer there. The system was playing up and freezing for a little while about two months ago and perhaps that caused the problem. Is there any way to re-install the driver for the cd-writer. I can still open it and close it, and there is always a flashing light going with it, but there is no recognition from the system that it is there.

If someone can help, that would be great.

I have a D1200 and a different problem. I haven't had that particular problem but I wasn't writing the cd correctly when I tried to write a CD. I wasn't mastering as the final step. I was one step short.
I don't know much about these digital units. I'm learning. In the 1200 unit there is a trouble shooting section in the back of the manual. It has a ton of "try this, try that" stuff. So,if that helps.... Sorry. I see your not gettin much help or many replies, so I just thought I'd offer what I could.
Do you have any idea why I wouldn't be able to record past the 1st channel? (Can't over dub) It used to overdub just fine but now for some reason it won't.
