How do I achieve this sound?

Post by HelloHello »

I am trying to attain a certain sound on my microkorg, to create a backing for guitar on certain chorus parts to generate more feeling and emotion that plays a harmony with the guitar.

I am pretty much looking for exactly the sound in this song.

Thanks for any and all help!

instead of saying no help, you shoulda said 'bump'. 'bump' means ur bumping the thread to the top of the forum so that it will displayed so that people will notice it. 'no help' transmits the message of 'im getting impatient with no one helping me'

anyways, I'm not the person to ask for this, im bad at complex sounds

Is there a synth somewhere behind those guitars, drums, and screamo vocals? Does it really matter what patch you choose if you can't hear it with everything else on top of it. Just choose some string-like pad. Or maybe you could point to a specific point in a song where a synth can be distinctly heard?

I gotta say tpantano I downloaded ur attempt at the string patch and it was great!

I loved how smooth it was, a very emotional sound!

I was messing around with the cutoff, reso, analogue tuning etc and was getting some nice fizzly pad sounds aswell.

Keep it up!
