Any way to make my Microkorg play a midi file on my DAW?
I figured out how to use my korg as a midi controller but now I can't figure out how to make the midi file I just recorded play back thru the synth. Is this even possible or do I just have to record live input if I want the sound of the korg?
Midi output to microkorg possible?

What's your DAW?
Make sure your microkorg is hooked up to your computer by MIDI or USB.
Now, depending on your DAW, there should be an option for 'External MIDI Track' or 'MIDI Output Track'. Make one of these, and put your MIDI data in it.
If you're using a regular old MIDI cable, set the tracks output to the cable. If you don't know the specific name of it, try a 'MIDI Omni' option if available.
If you're using the USB cable, set the output to 'MicroKorg - Sound' (I believe) and channel 1.
Now, when you press play on your song, the MicroKorg should play. Make sure it's plugged into your speakers or that your DAW is echoing it, otherwise it may be playing but you're hearing nothing!
