ER-1

Post by X-Trade »

Our singer just bought a second hand Electribe ER-1 (mkI), in our continuing quest to find a decent alternative to unreliable drummers for dance/pop/electronic rock music.

Just wondering if there is anything I should know? any hints or tips? I may find myself having to program it...

if you want to start fresh with new patterns... clear out all the parts on the first pattern hit "write" skip to pattern 2 hit write again.. not pattern 1 AND 2 are both clear... keep going till youve got a grip of patterns clear and program away... i had one for a bit you can get grimey with them..

its quite difficult to get a powerful snare sound in my opinion

i saw a tip from another user on here once ..can't remember who...and it works great

whenever a snare hits..hit one of the fx buttons aswell at the same time

Never underestimate the audio in's....Audio in 1 & 2 can be panned left/right, and have long or short decays. I use it to chop up the audio from my other grooveboxes (ea-1, em-1, DX200), but you could probably chop up whatever signal you feed them. You don't notice the chops at all if you have the audio in thru button constantly on though.
